Obama finally confronted Republicans in a special 82 minute session that allowed for his opponents to address him directly on-air. Obama took out the gloves and finally called out his opponents leaving his “No-Drama Obama” persona behind. He called them out for “misrepresenting his budget plan” and misleading their constituents into thinking he is “doing all kinds of crazy stuff that’s going to destroy America.” He firmly urged Republicans to put away self. “These are serious times and what’s required of all of us is to do what’s right for our country, even if it’s not best for our politics,” Obama said.
