THE REVIEW
After two years of anticipation, the sweet heartfelt sexy, Finding Me, premiered at the Quad Cinema bringing out local personalities, artists and fans alike. Watch Alist for more Finding Me. Roger Omeus’s love story and story of discovery brings together a quality cast for an amazing black gay film that doesn’t live up to the stereotypes. Featuring characters both gay and straight and a story line that is universal, Roger and the cast takes us on a journey that can’t be missed. After a few laughs, tears and hot bedroom love making, Roger redefines what it means to be a same gender loving individual. He crafts what it means to truly understand yourself and he surely makes “sex scenes” into “love scenes” for us once again. Finding Me is a real catch!
Finding Me TrailerStars Derrick L Briggs(Lonnie) and Ray Martell Moore(Faybien) are on fire. They are certainly a great pairing and ensure that the chemistry and tension remains present from beginning to the end.
Check out Maurice Runea as he gets down the nitty gritty with each cast member on this Alist and then continue to more Finding Me review!
Faybien’s friends J’Nara Corbin(Amera) and Eugene Turner (Greg) are the comedy relief that keeps this serious story balanced. Amera and Greg’s constant battle ensures that you will be laughing in your seat. Another Great comic relief is Maurice Murrell who challenges Faybien’s and Greg’s relationship and bring the right doss of buff and shadiness to keep him relevant.
Most commendable is the way Roger weaves in challenges of being Caribbean and and homosexualputting a fresh look on this going struggle. Faybien’s Caribbean father, Ronald DeSuze, truly does the character justice allowing you to understand hisparental anguish as he tries to love his son without truly looking at who he is.

Maurice Runea The Show Season One Finale: Christopher Street The Series
The Season Finale of Season One wraps up with the leading men of the independent series, “Christopher Street”, which chronicles the lives of four gay twenty somethings living and loving in New York. Dwight Allen O’Neal (Jharemy) and Jared Dewese (Christopher) discuss the themes in the show and how the characters reflect their personalities. It is a stirring moment as Jared and Dwight reflect about a personal incidence of domestic violence and they ways in which he overcame abuse in his personal life. Not as soon as the moment gets reflective, Dwight remembers that karma came to bite his abuser in the back with a “Jasmine Sullivan” moment. It’s another great episode!
