Which Old Spice Guy do you perfer?
Since Isaiah Mustafa became the Old Spice guy, sales have doubled for Old Spice. I remember my dad splashing, rolling and bathing in every product from the Old Spice line. Today, Old Spice has returned with a vengence.
Something happened however, do you remember the old Old Spice Guy,
Terry Crews. He appeared in some of the first steps to rebrand Old Spice appearing “diesel”, shiny and muscular. His look may have worked in Friday but it didn’t completely mesh with Old Spice. Yes, everyone enjoyed the commercial but maybe he was too intimidating. Check out “Flex” below.Since then, Old Spice has casted Isaiah Mustafa, a gentler man with a unique comic sensibility. His prententious voice is perfect. The tag line and execution is perfect, “Smell Like a Man, Man”. Who could forget the horse? Just sit back and enjoy the power of marketing.

Lady Gaga Move Over: Greyson is coming
The sixth grader is causing havoc across the internet as he sings Lady Gaga’s Paparazzi with as much acoustic flair as Lady Gaga. The song is impressive but the best bits are the girls directly behind him who are absolutely floored. Their hands are covering their mouths. The teacher ends with saying, “In my opinion, he just taught Lady Gaga a lesson.” Saucy!

Betty White Shines on SNL Debut and says Thanks to Facebook [all the skits and intro]
Just in time for Mother’s Day Betty White hosted Saturday Night Live after a massive Facebook campaign showing that the VOICE of the PEOPLE is POWER. Why don’t we do that for more things, I don’t know but that POWER brought us one of the best guest hosting moments of the year. Betty White was so gracious in her intro thanking YOU, the people that made it happen.
“I really have to thank Facebook … I didn’t know what Facebook was, and now that I do know what it is, it sounds like a huge waste of time. I would never think that people on it are losers, but that’s only because I’m polite,” White joked during her monologue. She continued on Facebook, saying: “At my age, if i want to connect with old friends, I need a Ouija board. Facebook just sounds like a drag. In my day, seeing pictures of people’s vacations was considered a punishment….”here tonight because you wanted me to be. I feel so loved, thank you.”

Glee’s Madonna Album is Chart Topping [video]
Glee – The combined Power of Glee and Madonna will result in a chart-topping debut for Columbia’s third compilation of songs from Ryan Murphy’s pop zeitgeist show on FOX.
With the Glee’s episode revealing Sue Sylvester’s lifelong obsession with the Material Girl, as well as seven set-pieces incorporating some of her biggest hits, Glee: The Power of Madonna will bow at #1 on next week’s chart with a total of 100-120k.
Jane Lynch sizzles as the Material GirlThat’s based on one-day sales reports from retailers around the country who haven’t transformed their stores into Jamba Juice locations. With the album #1 at iTunes, and six of its seven tracks in the Top 100, including “Like a Prayer” at #3, it remains to be seen how physical retail will react in gauging its final total.
Meanwhile, Columbia should nab at least two of the top three spots on next week’s chart, with AC/DC’s Iron Man 2 soundtrack looking for a total between 80-100k.

Ricky Martin is quoted to be a “fortunate homosexual man.” The Latino heartthrob finally revealed his sexuality in a heartfelt post on his official website.
The 38-year-old Puerto Rican star is proud to say that he is gay. The reason for his outing? He said his twin sons, born via a surrogate mother in 2008, inspired him to tell the truth.
He wrote, “Fear of my truth? Not at all! On the contrary, it fills me with strength and courage. This is just what I need especially now that I am the father of two beautiful boys that are so full of light and who with their outlook teach me new things everyday. To keep living as I did up until today would be to indirectly diminish the glow that my kids were born with.”
“Enough is enough. This has to change. This was not supposed to happen 5 or 10 years ago, it is supposed to happen now. Today is my day, this is my time, and this is my moment.”
And although he admits he doesn’t know what will happen after his revelation, he says he is content.
